Reading Rainbow.

Tim and I love to read.  I enjoy fiction and biographies.  Right now, I'm working on the Pulitzer Price winning Truman, written by David McCullough...which is truly fantastic, by the way!  Tim is a big fan of philosophy, theology and apologetics.  Needless to say, our office shelves are FULL of books from Tim's copious collection.

Apparently Stella is also destined to be a bibliophile like her parents, as one of her favorite things to do while rolling around on the floor by the bookshelves is to pull random books off and try to chew on them.  I always get a kick out of the ones she chooses to snack on these days (and, no, I did not set up these photos)...

Thomas Merton's New Seeds of Contemplation

Make Me Like Jesus:  The Courage to Pray Dangerously by Michael Phillips
And, to be totally fair, just moments after this last photo was taken, Stella decided to give up on books and to play in the paper recycling bin...

She's still the smartest baby I know.

On another note - LOTS of rainbows today, due to crazy weather...here is a beautiful one, worth the stop I made to take a photo while heading to Portsmouth to visit Pammie.  Pammie will be delivering her baby boy ANY day now; I can't wait to meet him and to see my college roommate as a mommy!
