I have so many cute pictures of Stella from the past day (she's making a new face when she gets excited - she crinkles her nose, smiles, and breathes really hard for some reason...usually when the dogs are fetching), but Tim took the cord I use to download them, so they'll have to wait. I have lots to do tonight before Tim gets home tomorrow afternoon - we're on a much needed V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N next week. We won't be doing anything too exciting as far as travel, but spending time as a family is exciting enough for me!
Took Stella on a walk today around UNH, not realizing that it was Homecoming Weekend. It's always strange to be back on campus with a baby. I went to college at UNH, it's where I met my husband, and it's also where Tim/I worked in ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for several years out of school. My heart still breaks for the campus - lots of emptiness (magnified this weekend); however, walking around with my little baby, MY little baby, made me feel a deep sense of satisfaction and gratitude for my life right now...what a blessing and an honor to be entrusted with the most important job of raising a child. As my Grandma Ruth used to say about her children, "They're just on loan from Heaven." Best loan ever.
